Nová Merina is primarily residential project, turning brownfield area in Trencin into premium location housing with 600+ flats and additional retail, sport and culture spaces. In 2022, Occam Real Estate, in collaboration with the city of Trenčín, announced an architectural competition. The winning project was by the architects from Sadovsky & Architects, in collaboration with Marko & Placemakers and Studio Chybík + Kristof. The construction of the first phase of apartments is scheduled to begin in 2026. In May 2024, the investment group Wood & Company joined the project, while the current co-investor Occam Real Estate remains in the project as a minority partner and manager.
